Exclusion Zones for Areas of Montecito Defined as Declared Disaster Zones

Existing exclusion zones for the Montecito area have been declared “disaster zones,” as reported by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office. Residents and homeowners living in these areas are permitted to return by showing identification at law enforcement checkpoints. Law enforcement will continue to be present in these areas. Unauthorized entry will be subject to Penal Code 409.5(5) PC and subject to arrest.

Contractors seeking entry into these areas to do work will need to provide identification, reason and purpose for entry, as well as name the address and phone number of the client they are assisting.
